A. Burnhope
November 15, 1940 — December 10, 2013
A. Keith Burnhope passed away after 20 years from health complications after being injured in a horse accident. He was born November 15, 1940 in Price, Utah to Hazel Bowcutt and Don Burnhope. He married the love of his life, Darlene Funk on March 10, 1961 in the Manti LDS Temple. They resided in Bothwell Utah for the next 53 years.
They were blessed with four children, Sharon Brown (Brigham City), Vickie Tilley (Logan), Brent and Debbie Jorgensen (Kaysville), and Roger and Tiffany Burnhope (Bothwell). He also is the proud and adored grandfather of thirteen grandchildren; C.J., Annie, Kathryn D (KD), Schylar, Dawson, Parker, Olivia, Mirayla, Daxton, Isaac, Shyann, Montana, and Branson.
He was raised in Helper, Utah. He graduated from Carbon High School and from Weber College with an Associate's Degree. He entered into the Utah National Guard shortly after graduation, where he served for 25 years and retired as a First Sergeant. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 30 years as a sheet metal mechanic. He also was employed at the Golden Spike National Historic Site after his retirement.
Keith was an active member of the LDS church his whole life. He was very active in scouting and was proud of being an Eagle Scout. He loved hunting and fishing and had a passion for guns and knew everything about them as humanly possible. He loved life and was famous for his quotes and sayings and making everyone feel happy and loved. He was a storyteller and had a passion for telling adventures. He was extremely patriotic and had a deep love for his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson Isaac. Surviving him is also a brother Kenneth (Carol) of Murray.
He lived a life of family first and provided and cared for them throughout his life. His spirit will be missed. He was a sweet and generous man.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Bothwell LDS Chapel (10350 W. 11600 N.) Viewings will be held Friday, Dec. 13 from 6-8 pm at Rudd Funeral Home (1234 S.
