Aloha Louise Taylor Garn, 79, passed away November, 12, 2015 in Logan, UT. She was born on December 31, 1936 to Arlen D & Erlene Taylor in Burley, ID.
She graduated from Burley High School and then attended Utah State University. Aloha married O. Clive Garn on July 12, 1956 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. She has lived in Burley, ID; Logan, Salt Lake City and most recently, Fielding, UT.
Aloha worked at “The Mode” dress shop in high School and then at the Utah State Capitol as a secretary when dad was in college. In high school she was active as a cheerleader, class officer, member of the trio choir and went to Girl’s State as a US senator. In college, she was affiliated with Alpha Omega Sorority and served as a freshman class secretary.
She was a member of the LDS Church, she held various callings including serving in the Stake Primary Presidency and as a temple worker in the Logan Temple.
Aloha is survived by her husband, O. Clive Garn of Fielding; children, Craig (Lynda) Garn of Fielding, Kathryn (Allen) Willis of Mesa, AZ, Tina Fredrickson of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa (Brady) Chournos of Mesa, AZ; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother, D Arlen Taylor and a sister, Judy Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her father Arlen D Taylor and her mother Claudia Erlene Martindale.
Funeral Services for Aloha will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 W. 15600 N. – Fielding, UT) with a viewing from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church. There will also be a viewing on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 6-8 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton, UT). Burial will follow the services at the Fielding Cemetery.
