Ardella Bobo

Ardella Hadfield Barfuss Bobo Heavenly Father called Ardella “Della” Hadfield Barfuss Bobo home to join her eternal partner, Marvin Charles Barfuss, on August 25, 2009. Their family is thankful they are together again. Della was born February 5, 1928 in Bothwell, Utah to John Henry Hadfield and Louisa Adelma Hancock Hadfield. She was the 12th of 14 children. She married the love of her life, Marvin Charles Barfuss, on July 15, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on November 24, 1970. She loved being a Navy wife and traveling; during their marriage they lived in Utah, Idaho, California, Philippine Islands and Washington. Marvin retired from the Navy in 1966 and they moved back to Utah in 1971 where they finished raising their family. Marvin preceded Ardella in death on September 7, 1979. Della married Holly Winfred “Fred” Bobo in the Salt Lake Temple on April 12, 1986. She and Fred enjoyed many a trip to visit family and friends. Fred preceded Ardella in death on September 23, 2001. Della enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, working on genealogy and gathering family histories. Her family has many of her treasured quilts and doilies. Della left her family a legacy of giving service to others. As a member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary, Young Women, Extraction Program, and Relief Society as President, Secretary, quilting specialist, visiting teacher supervisor, and visiting teacher. Della is the mother of 7 children: Arnold M. (Cande) Barfuss of Peoria, Arizona; Michael J. (Jane) Barfuss of St. George, Utah; Rex N. (Jo) Barfuss of Washington; Hal D. (Mary) Barfuss of Ogden, Utah; Dianne (Rodney) Cummins of West Point, Utah; Anita Gardner of Ogden, Utah; and Mark C. (Lisa) Barfuss of West Virginia; 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 4 step children; Barbara (Dale) Pencombe; Fred (LoyDean) Bobo; Kathy (Jay) Slaughter; Jeff (Susan) Bobo; 13 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great-grandchildren. Della is survived by two sisters: Myrna Loy (Joe) Smith and Sheryl Gae (Byron) Bronson. Her loving husband, Marvin C. Barfuss, Winfred Bobo, one grandson, Geoffrey C. Barfuss, and one granddaughter, Shelley Barfuss, greeted her on the other side of the veil. Services will be held Saturday, August 29 at 12:00 pm. in the Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. On Friday, August 28 and from10:00 to 11:30 a.m. August 29 at the Tremonton South Stake Center. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. Ardella’s family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation for the incredible tender care from those who served her at the Family Tree Assisted Living and Pinnacle Hospice.
