Arline (Laub) Parker

June 17, 1938 — May 1, 2024

While surrounded by those she loved, Arline Laub Parker our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend left this mortal life and rushed into the open arms of her beloved daughters on the other side on May 1, 2024. She was born on June 17, 1938, in Tremonton, Utah to Merril and Faunice Laub. She was talented, loving, and made things so fun.

Arline graduated from Bear River High School in 1956.  Shortly after she met the love of her life at the Box Elder County fair and the next year, she married Boyd Parker, on Friday, July 13, 1956 in Tremonton, UT, they were later sealed in the Logan, LDS temple. Together they lived in Logan, Salt Lake City, and then settled in Tremonton where they raised their family.

Arline worked in the family stores, Laubs Market and Buttons & Bolts. Later she worked at U & I Sugar and then she worked for Trend Interiors.  She loved going to people's homes and helping them decorate their Windows.

Arline was also a homemaker; she was good at sewing and made beautiful dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. She was good at making a house look like a home. She knew how to decorate and make a place look beautiful and inviting. When you visited, you felt the peace and friendship she created in her designs. She was a talented artist and took many classes, she created beautiful paintings that won her ribbons at the Box Elder County Fair, now her works are treasured by her family and friends.

Arline was actively involved in her community by participating in the Tremonton Women’s Civic Club where she was named Club Woman of the year in 1984, helping at the Box Elder County Fair and Rodeo and she was an active member of the Women’s Skyway Golf club for many years.

Arline was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. One of her most memorable and enjoyable callings was serving with the youth.  Arline’s ability to laugh and have fun made those callings so fun for everyone involved. She loved serving and being with all of her friends in the 6th Ward.   Boyd and Arline served an LDS mission together in Mesa, Arizona and served as ordinance workers in the Logan and Brigham City temples.

Together, Arline and Boyd enjoyed Aggies basketball games, going to the Utah Symphony, camping and golfing. She loved traveling with Boyd, friends and family, together they traveled to all 50 states,  her favorite place to travel and take friends and family was at  the Lawrence Welk Resort in San Diego California.

Arline was happiest when she had her children and grandchildren together. She loved and cherished her family so much. We are going to miss her family vacations, birthdays calls and Holiday traditions.   She loved everyone that joined the family.

Arline was preceded in death by her parents, Merril and Faunice Laub, her twin daughters, DaNise Parker and DaNeel Norr, son-in-law, Jeff Bywater, and her sister, Gaye Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Boyd Parker, Children Alan (Stephanie) Parker, Jill Bywater, Jerian (KC) Merritt, (Curtis Norr) 16 grandchildren 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters Merrilyn (Neil )Nelson and VaLoy (Blair) Hawkes who will continue to cherish her memory.
