Arva LuElla Dallin Archibald passed away on July 30, 2013 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born to Stephen Arnold Dallin and LaVon Iverson on June 30, 1918 in Bear River City. Arva married Doyle Clair “Bob” Archibald in the Logan LDS Temple on December 21, 1937. Doyle passed away on May 14, 1998.
Arva lived in Bear River City and attended Bear River High School. She was a homemaker, caretaker and worked at Powers Flowers for many years. Her hobbies include crocheting, quilting, handwork and gardening. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Arva served as a Mutual President, counselor in the Relief Society, teacher in the Primary and Sunday School and other various church callings.
She is survived by Spencer (Janice) Archibald of Brigham City, UT; Joy (Richard) Nelson of Bear River City, UT; Dennis (Colleen) Dallin of Salt Lake City, UT; Terry (Cathie) Dallin of Coalville, UT; 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and soon to be 6 great great grandchildren. Arva is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; daughter, Susan Farnsworth; son, Dwain Archibald; sisters, Velma (Floyd) Graves, Margie (Lucky) Doughten and good friend Tom Harsha, LaPreal “Tully” (Lee) Johnson; brother, Roger (Bette) Dallin and two grandsons.
Funeral services for Arva will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the Bear River City LDS church (5870 N 4700 W) at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A viewing will also be held at the church on Friday, August 2, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.
