Audrey Lynn Dansie

December 12, 1960 — November 23, 2023

Audrey Lynn Dansie passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2023, on Thanksgiving morning. She sadly lost her fight with breast cancer.

Our wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter and friend was born on December 12, 1960 in Twin Falls, Idaho to her parents Delbert Olsen and Viola Jenkins.  Her mom later married Joeseph Jenkins. She spent most of her childhood in Riverton, Utah, with her older brothers Aaron and Mike, being raised by her mom and Joe.

On November 17, 1978 she married her “one and only” Brett Dansie. Together they raised six beautiful children: Brandi, Brandon, Michelle, Buster, Brooke, and Dusty. They were later sealed together as a family on November 15, 1996 in the Logan Temple. In her teenage years she worked at the lawn mower shop with her dad Joe. While her children were young she was a full-time homemaker and also babysat many other kids. Once all of her children were in school, she worked at the Pie Dump (probably to spy on her older kids), Landview Fertilizer, CCI Mechanical, and then her current job at Post Holdings as an administrative assistant. She made many friends along the way.

She was an amazing person who loved to serve others. She was hard working, honest, and someone you could always lean on. She used one of her many talents to crochet countless blankets and gifts for those she loved and cared about. She always made each of her 23 grandchildren feel like they were the most important person in the world. As a family they all enjoyed spending time together hunting, fishing, and camping. Brett and Audrey spent countless days supporting their grandchildren in all their activities. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many callings in which she enjoyed serving.

All of her children and family were able to say their goodbyes and “I love you’s”. She was able to tell each of them how proud she is of them. She reassured her loved ones that although it would be hard for her to go and there would be lots of tears, in heaven there would be lots of happiness.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother Viola, father Joe, father-in-law Merlyn, mother-in-law Vae and three brothers Adam, Victor, and Derek Olsen.

She is survived by her husband Brett, her children Brandi Dansie, Brandon (Bobby) Dansie, Michelle (James) Nickell, Buster (Merinda) Dansie, Brooke (Dave) Haines, Dusty (Kelsey) Dansie, and 23 grandkids.

She is also survived by her father Delbert Olsen, Aaron (Maida) Olsen, Mike (Shelly) Olsen, Melinda Olsen, Natalie (Don) Glover, Robert James, Shiloa (Frank) Beal and many other siblings and in-laws.

She was loved by all that knew her! We look forward to the day we will all be together again.
