Bentley Ray Gillins, 50, passed away Friday, Jan. 4th 2013, he was born on Oct. 4th 1962 to Julian and Beverly Bentley Gillins in Preston, ID. Ben was the 5th of 9 children and the oldest son. He was raised on the family dairy farm where he loved the cows. After graduating from Sky View High School and LDS Seminary, he worked at Tri Miller for only a year before he returned to what he truly loved, farming. He worked on the Hobbs Dairy and then the Haworth farm before making his home on the Cleve Gibbons Dairy. He continued working there until 2008 when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Even when things seemed hopeless, he continued to fight valiantly and conquered many obstacles over a period of four years. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Gillins; his siblings, Marva (Val) Spillett, Kevin (Sara) Ashby, Julie (Dave) Merrill, Tamara (Randy) Eames, Steven Gillins, Kurtis (Dellene) Gillins, and Christine (Steve) Harmon, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Julian “Ray” Gillins; his Siblings, Shayla and Dennis. Services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, Jan 8th 2013 at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 South Tremont St., Tremonton, UT. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
