Tremonton- Bernardo Perez Cruz, 69, passed away on August 12, 2015 in Logan, Utah. He was born on August 20, 1945 in Atascosa County Texas to Roberto & Juanita Perez-Cruz.
He was raised in Atascosa, Texas and moved to McDonna, Texas, where he met and married the love of his life Francisca Hernandez- Cruz on May 24, 1965. She passed away on January 27, 2007. They moved to Tremonton, Utah in 1970. Bernardo worked for U & I Sugar Co. until it closed down. He then worked for John Farms Trucking until his retirement in 2010.
Bernardo loved to take care of his Semi, work in the garden and yard, spend time with his grandchildren & great grandchildren and he loved to watch the weather. He enjoyed watching western movies, eating tacos and always looked forward to the Fair & Parade. He loved taking a yearly trip, rain or shine, on May 10th to the Golden Spike with his family.
He was a member of the Santa Ana Catholic Church.
Bernardo is survived by his Children: Larry Cruz, Joann (Ruben) Tello; Brothers: Lassaro (Rosalba) Cruz, Roberto Cruz, Paul Cruz, Benito Cruz; Sisters: Guadalupe Cruz, Alejandra Cruz, Maria (Leo) Hernandez, Francis Cruz; Grandchildren: Anthony Cruz, Letticia, Ruben Jr., Crystiena Tello, Michael & Natasha Cruz and Great Grandsons: Avin, Xailon & Serin Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Wife: Francisca Cruz; Parents: Roberto & Juanita Cruz; Brothers: Geronino Cruz & Juan Cruz and Sisters: Angelita Cruz & Dominga Cruz.
Funeral services for Bernardo will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Ana Catholic Church (760 W. 600 N., Tremonton, UT). There will be a viewing & Rosary held on Monday evening August 17, 2015 at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT) from 6-8 pm with the Rosary starting at 7:00.
Interment will take place in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff at Logan Nursing & Rehab and a very special thanks to the entire staff at the Logan Dialysis Center for the wonderful care and love that Dad received while on Dialysis. You all meant so much to our family.
