Beverly Dawn Bentley Gillins, fun loving, spitfire, yet youthful woman, passed away at age 82 on June 23, 2022 at Legacy House. She was born December 31, 1939 in Cedar City, Utah to Deward G and Maxine Stevens Bentley. She married Julian Ray Gillins on February 12, 1955 in Parowan, Utah. The were later sealed in the Logan temple on September 5, 1975. Julian passed away on September 9, 2000.
During her lifetime Beverly lived in Parowan, Minersville, Kearns, Utah; Franklin, Mud Lake, Idaho; Springville, Cedar City, and the last 22 years in Tremonton, Utah.
Beverly attended Parowan school and received her GED later in life.
Beverly worked at Walmart for more than 20 years in the fabric department as well as many other jobs. She loved to sew, embroidery, quilt, and crochet. She made burp rags, hankies, potato bags, afghans, and many other items. She also loved going for long rides and the beauty around her. She loved picking out the details of the world around her and loved collecting rocks from every place she visited. She loved the color turquoise, coin collecting, and gambling.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of which she was involved in Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society.
Beverly is survived by her children, Marva (Val) Spillett, Julie Merrill, Steven Gillins, Kurtis (Dellene) Gillins, Christine (Doug) Williams; brother, Randy Bentley; sisters-in-law, Jo Bentley, Mary Ann Gillins; sons-in-law, Kevin (Sarah) Ashby and Randy (Tamara-deceased) Eames; 24 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Ray; parents, Deward and Maxine Bentley; in-laws, Julian and Aletha Gillins; daughters, Shayla Ashby, Tamara Eames; sons, Dennis Gillins and Bentley Gillins; brothers, Berdell (Mary Lou) Bentley, Rodney Bentley; sister, Brenda Lamoreaux, Eileene (Clifford) Terry; sister-in-law, Joy Bentley; brother-in-law, Harell Gillins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. with a viewing held prior from 9-10 A.M. All services will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E-Tremonton, UT). Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
