Bradley Jay Udy died December 17, 2011 at the Bear River Valley Hospital of an aneurism at age 44. He was born June 23, 1967 to Farrell Edmund and Margaret Ann Nielson Udy in Brigham City, Utah. He married Rebecca Rudd on June 27, 1987, they were later divorced. They were blessed with one son, Joshua Jay Udy. Brad was raised in Bothwell and Garland. He later moved to Tremonton where he currently resided. Brad graduated from Bear River High School where he was active in FFA. After graduation from high school he attended USU. He later earned a certification in Industrial Automated Maintenance from the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College. Brad was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brad had worked at La-Z-Boy, MCC Foam, and as a bartender at The Eagles. He was currently employed at Autoliv where he was recently promoted to a Lead Technician. He was a highly respected technician and sought after for his knowledge and ability. He was known for his attention to detail and his hard work ethics. He was meticulous and methodical in his work. His quick wit and sense of humor brought a smile to all of his coworkers. Brad was a perfectionist in everything he did. He was very talented in woodworking. He created kids toys, book shelves, gun cabinets, benches, bird houses, bowls, window sills, trim, or whatever his sisters and mom asked, but it had to be on his own timeline. Brad also spent many hours working on the family farm. He enjoyed the work and was always there to do whatever was needed. Brad and Josh loved to travel. Some of his favorite vacations included visiting Alaska, St. Thomas, Cancun, Hawaii, and Baltimore to watch an NFL football game. Josh has commented that he and his dad had visited all but 19 states. Brad was an active member of the Tremonton Fraternal Order of the Eagles 3823. Brad spent many hours at the Eagles with his “second family”. He served as the President from 2003-2004 and has been the Head Trustee for the past five years. Since May of 2009, he has served as the State Trustee and the State Ambassador. Brad is survived by his parents, Farrell and Margaret Ann Udy; son, Joshua Jay Udy; brother, Shawn Edmund Udy; sisters Sharri (Jeff) Oyler; Becky (Ryan) Jensen; Marci (Jared) Summers. He is also survived by six nieces and five nephews that he lovingly teased and adored. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Garland Tabernacle. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Relief Society room. A viewing will also be held Tuesday night from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main in Garland. According to Brad, we will not be on family standard time.
