Brenda Johnson

On June 11^th our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away while surrounded by her husband and children. Brenda was born February 24^th, 1966, to Dennis and Shirley Montgomery. She was born and raised in Liberty, Utah, then later found her forever home in Bothwell Utah. She met and married the love of her life Dan on October 15^th, 1988. Together they had 3 beautiful children, JD, Jacy Jo and Lexi Rose.

Brenda grew up with a love for horses and rodeo. Her and Dan started their love story at Wyoming Downs where she was a pony girl and he was a horse trainer, after that, the rest was history. Their favorite thing to do together has always been going to the horse races. She was her kid’s biggest cheerleader and supported them in anything they wanted to do. You could find her at rodeos with JD, barrel races with Jacy and just chasing Lexi around wherever she wanted to go.

Brenda made friends wherever she went, and she was loved by so many. She was always the first to donate to any fundraiser or take someone something when they were in need. We will miss her daily Facebook jokes, her witty, sarcastic comments and her overall love for life.

Brenda is survived in death by her parents Dennis and Shirley Montgomery, her husband Dan of 35 years, three children: JD (Chelsi) Johnson, Jacy Jo (Josh) Hupp, and Lexi Rose Johnson and two grandchildren, Hank and Hanna. She is also survived by one brother, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law Tom and her grandparents.

A small, intimate family memorial will be held. If you want to celebrate her life, head up to Wyoming downs and bet on a few horses to win.

The family wants to give our greatest thanks to the staff at Brigham City ER and ORMC ICU for the great care they provided her.
