Bryce J Ericksen

             Bryce Johnson Ericksen, 95, of Beaver Dam, Utah passed away December 6, 2022 in Logan, Utah.

            He was born July 22, 1927 in Beaver Dam, Utah to Joseph Alma and Mary LaVona Johnson Ericksen. Here, he grew up surrounded by a loving family. He learned many important life lessons while working on the farm with his father.

            Bryce graduated from Bear River High and went on to serve in the North Central States Mission. Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart, Louise Castleton, on August 4, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple.

            Bryce graduated from Utah State University with a degree in electrical engineering. He accepted a job with General Electric, moving his family first to New York, then Florida, and Arizona. Through these growing experiences he and his family gained many life long friends.

            Bryce was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many leadership positions. He was always willing to do whatever the Lord asked of him. In his later life, he and Louise served in the Georgia Macon Mission.

            Bryce loved his family dearly, always having faith in their ability to do good. He found the best in everyone he knew, encouraging all to see the good around them.

            He is survived by his children: James A. Ericksen, Neena (Russell) Reed, Kenneth D. (Renate) Ericksen, MaryAnn (Foster) Nuffer, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise, infant daughter Jane and siblings Durell, Kenneth, Marie, Helen, Melvin, Virginia, Elaine and LaVona.

            A funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Beaver Dam Chapel, 16025 Beaver Dam Road. A viewing will precede the services from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Interment will be at the Beaver Dam Cemetery.  We will try and livestream the funeral service. If we are unable to do so, due to the internet service, a recording will be uploaded within 24-48 hours.
