Carmi H Campbell, 96, of Tremonton, UT was born in Preston, ID on July 25, 1916 to Martin H and Arita May Porter Campbell. His parents were homesteading in Caribou National Forest in an area now called Campbell Canyon. That was where he spent the first few years of his life. When Carmi was 9 his family moved to south Tremonton, UT – Evans Branch. He went to the Union School and later to Bear River High School. He loved music, sang in the school choir and played in the band. For a time while living in Salt Lake City he was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He married his sweetheart Golda Stenquist Sept. 14, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. Most precious to him were his family and his membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved serving in the Church and cherished his 20 years in the Logan Temple as an ordinance worker and sealer. He served two missions: Northern States as a young man and later, St. Louis, MO with his wife. He was a farmer and a carpenter and could fix almost anything. He is survived by his wife of 68 years and their six children: Ann (David) Moyle, Joan (Carl) Crowther, Russell H (Pauline) Campbell, Lynn (Marta) Campbell, Dallas (Laurie) Campbell, Laurie (LD) Mason; 19 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and 34 great grandchildren.
