December 25, 1931 — May 23, 2017

Carol Drysdale Anderson Phillips was born on December 25th, 1931 and passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of May 23, 2017 at her residence in Tremonton’s Bear River Valley Care Center.

She was preceded in death and will be welcomed with open arms by her husband, Victor Young Phillips, her mother, Mary Jane Young Anderson, father Christian Anderson, sister Jane Anderson, daughter Irene A. Averett, and great-grandson Nikolis Ronald Siever. She is survived by her sister Margaret Renwick, daughters Diane C. Gale, Stella L. Cruz, and Susan J. Sanders as well as 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and one more on the way.

She was a gifted artist and story teller. She wrote many children’s books. She was a huge support to her husband in his Christian ministry. She played the piano for years in the church they founded in Mesquite, Nevada. She loved all animals but cats were her very favorite. In 2015 Carol made the choice to return to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and went through the temple.

We as a family want to thank all the staff at Bear River for the excellent care she received. We are also forever grateful to our friends for their immense help during this time. You are angels on earth.

Grandma/Mom will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Memorial service Saturday, May 27th at the Deweyville Utah Chapel.
