Carol Jorgensen Ravsten left her earthly home on July 31st, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend. She was born October 8th, 1949 to Milton Jorgensen and Alveretta Thornley Jorgensen in Lewiston, Utah. She was the youngest child and loved dearly by each of her 8 older siblings.
She grew up in Lewiston, Utah on the family farm where she had many dear memories surrounded by her family. Her parents passed away when she was the tender age of 16 years old. Her siblings then stepped into the role to help care for, love, and nurture their baby sister.
She married Danny Lester Ravsten December 6th, 1968 in Lewiston, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple November 24th, 1970. She expressed her love for her husband throughout their marriage and especially while he was her caregiver during the past few years with her health decline.
Following their marriage they made their home in Salt Lake City, Utah where Carol worked at Sperry Rand Univac making circuit boards. They later moved to Clarkston, Utah for a time until moving to Tremonton, Utah in 1973 where she resided until the time of her death.
This union blessed the world by bringing 5 amazing children into it. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She mothered each of her children individually according to their needs and made many fun memories by allowing them to play and learn while guiding them to become the wonderful people they are today.
She enjoyed her participation with great friends in a Tremonton bowling league where she was honored as Bowler of the Month. She enjoyed reading good books, going to the movie theater, eating delicious potato chips, and ice cold water.
She was employed at Sprouse-Reitz in Tremonton where she enjoyed making many friends. After the store closed she was hired by King’s where she enjoyed working in the basement and being known as the Toy Lady. She also enjoyed having her daughter as her boss and continued working there until her retirement due to health.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several capacities including Sunday School secretary, Cub Scouts, Nursery leader, and her favorite being in the library. She lived her faith by always speaking kindly of others, being compassionate and empathetic. She was the epitome of unconditional love and forgiveness.
She is survived by her husband Danny Ravsten of Tremonton, Utah. Her daughters, DeAnn (David) Hull of Hyde Park, Utah and Donna Ravsten of Tremonton, Utah. Her sons, Darin Ravsten of Bozeman, Montana, Daniel (Jaime) Ravsten of Tremonton, Utah, and Dustin (Lesli) Ravsten of Prescott Valley, Arizona. As well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way and her siblings Vincent Jorgensen, Marilyn Atkinson, Nancy Thompson, Lynn Jorgensen, and Marcia Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents who we are sure met her at heaven’s gate along with her brothers James Elliot Jorgensen, Joseph Claire Jorgensen, and her sister Virginia Griffin to welcome her home.
