Chad F. Scoffield (52) born September 30, 1964, passed away from an unfortunate accident September 2, 2018.
The son of Gary R. Scoffield and Erlyn (Forsberg) Pitkin, he was raised and educated in the Bear River Valley where his adventurous spirit and charismatic personality lead to numerous friends and many a tale.
As a youth he participated in sports, football and basketball, and loved motorcycles. He was unanimously selected by his fellow classmates as the class clown. His talents and “can do” anything attitude afforded him the opportunity to work in various jobs including Rupp’s Trucking, Thiokol, Mike Gardner Construction, Wisco Pavers, Brent Dickamore, and numerous side jobs and projects.
Chad was an avid Chicago Bears fan starting from the days of the Super Bowl Shuffle and loved the game of football. This love included several years as a little league football coach where he affectionately nick named all the players.
Chad loved children, and is the father of Chandler, Brayden (deceased), Hayden, Kylie, Emily, Mariah, Caleb, and Kendal Lynn. He was a grandfather and had an exceptional relationship with Kelston.
Chad is survived by his Father, sister, Marcy (Brent) Rupp, brothers Darrin (Jenifer) Scoffield, and Rusty (Candace) Scoffield, his partner Sara (Sargent), nieces, nephews and endearing friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, and one son.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, at 12:00 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E. A viewing will be held Saturday, September 8, 9:30-11:00 am. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it. You just slowly learn how to go on without them. But always keeping them tucked safely in your heart.
