GARLAND-Charlene Gay Parris Corwin, 76, passed away at Willow Glen Care center in Brigham City, UT on October 9, 2014. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on April 27, 1938 to Iona and Oliver Parris.
She attended Downey Elementary, Marsh Valley High School and Pomona Adult School. She has lived in Virginia, ID, Pocatello, ID, San Bernardino, CA, Cedar City, UT and most recently in Garland, UT. On Nov. 7, 1981, Charlene married Myron “Fuzzy” Corwin in Las Vegas, NV. Fuzzy passed away on Apr. 3, 2009.
Charlene worked as an office clerk at Pomona Surgical Supply, was a welfare case worker in Bannock County, and co-owned and operated Yesterdays Oak Furniture Store. She enjoyed painting, water aerobics and Bunco. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by 3 sons, William D. Gunter, Kevin R. Gunter, Scott Gunter; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 1 soon to be great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband “Fuzzy”; daughter, Gina; son, Kim; grandson, Jeremy; and a great-granddaughter Hailee.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Garland 3rd Ward Chapel at 11:00 a.m. (175 S. Main) Viewings will be held Tuesday evening, Oct. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Rudd Funeral Home (1234 So. Main, Garland, UT) and Wed. prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the Arimo, Idaho cemetery.
