Charles Nobles

Charles Edward Nobles passed away May 5, 2012 with his loved ones by his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born October 28, 1942 to Samuel and Winnie Nobles in Tulsa, OK. He was lucky to come into this world as the younger brother to Darla. He spent his youth in Tulsa, OK and moved out to Delano, CA at the age of 15 where he graduated from Delano High School. He joined the Air Force after High school where he served as a mechanic. He met great lifelong friends whom he considered his brothers, Rick McCallum, Bill Sadler, Jim Drummond, and Gene Olague. He met the love of his life Jane Nobles in California and they were married in Las Vegas, NV on September 12, 1964. They had 46 years of love and laughter. They were lifelong companions and friends and created numerous memories. They moved to Utah where they settled and raised their son, Wallace Edward Nobles, born June 10, 1973. Chuck was a wonderful and loving husband. He was always a kind and gentle father and a great example to his son. He had strong family values and his family always came first. He was an extremely hard working man and took great care of those he loved. He was always there to help any one out and would have given you the shirt off his back. He spent over twenty years as a foreman with Thiokol. He also spent many years helping his father-in-law on the family ranch in Snowville, UT raising cattle and horses. He had numerous hobbies and interests, some of these included a love of motorcycles, and American Muscle cars which he passed on to his son. He had a very creative side which manifested in the form of woodworking, leather work, and stained glass. He spent numerous hours working on leather projects which were always wanted by his friends. His number one passion though was always his wife and son as well as his daughter in law which he always thought so highly of and his grandkids. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Wallace and Amanda Nobles of Nibley, UT; four grandchildren, Colton, Shelby, Tay, and Porter Nobles; His sister Darla Swanson (Ken) of Bakersfield; a niece Janine Hines (Mike) of Bakersfield; a nephew David Swanson (Peggy) of Irvine, CA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jane Nobles; parents, Sam and Winnie Nobles and his father and mother in law Wallace and Leola Hurd. The Family would like to thank Cache Valley Assisted Living, Sunshine Terrace, and Alpine Home Health & Hospice for their loving care. A celebration of his life and the great man he was will be held May 12, 2012 at 11:30 am at Millville City Park in Millville, UT. A Burial service will follow at Millville-Nibley cemetery.
