Cherie Lee Mason

Cherie Lee Mason, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on August 26, 2024, Born on February 26, 1951 to Carl and Mildred (Sorenson) Johanson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her siblings Diane, Janet, and Kim, along with her husband, Joseph Wayne Mason, and her nine children - Christy (Jeremy) Wonson, Candise (Spencer) Heiner, Valerie (Glen) White, Matthew (Aundrea) Mason, Gregory (Jenifer) Mason, Jeremy (Priscilla)Mason, Nathan (Amanda) Mason, Stephanie Mason, and Karen (Cody) Schaffner. Preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Wayne and Carla, and granddaughter Taylor Mason.

Cherie's legacy extends beyond her immediate family to include her 37 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who will always remember her as a source of love, wisdom, and support. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she loved attending the Temple and doing her Family History. She was bilingual in Norwegian, a graduate of Brigham Young University, loved skiing, and spending time with her family.

Cherie Lee Mason leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to inspire and uplift all to be obedient to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May her soul rest in peace, knowing that she was loved deeply and will be dearly missed.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1 P.M. with a service to follow at 2 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4955 Meadowland Blvd Colorado Springs, CO 80918.

The funeral services, in Utah, will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the Tremonton Stake Center (660 N 300 E- Tremonton). Interment to follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton, UT.
