Christine Blossom Mason At the age of 88 Christine passed away on September 25, 2010 at the Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton, Utah. She received excellent care from the diligent staff at the hospital. Christine was born May 18, 1922 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to John Wayne Blossom and Maude Renshaw Blossom. Christine was educated at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, Roosevelt and Harding Jr. High School, graduated in 1940 from Classen High School and attended Oklahoma University where she received her secretarial certification. She was employed at a law firm in Oklahoma City as a legal secretary. She managed the dental office of Dr. Reese B Mason for many years. After serving as a hostess at a USO military reception center, she met a naval officer Reese B Mason and they were married November 21, 1945 after 1 year courtship. She joined the LDS Church at the age of 22 and in July 19, 1946 Reese and Christine were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Christine served in the LDS Church as primary president, Relief Society Presidency, ward organist and later as stake organist. She was a professional genealogist and instructed church genealogy classes. She is a descendant of 17 signers of the Magna Charta, English and Scandivavian royalty and Rev John Robinson, the Pilgrim. She has been a resident of Tremonton, Utah for over 60 years. Christine is survived by her devoted loving husband, Dr. Reese B. Mason; and her loving family, Richard of Littleton, CO; Joseph of Colorado Springs, CO; Douglas of Ahwatukee, AZ; Curtis of Smithfield, UT; Alice Mathias Gifford of Page, AZ; Melanie Mason Smith of Mesa, AZ; 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, 6-8 pm September 29, 2010, and Thursday 9:30-10:30 am at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 N. 300 E. Tremonton. The funeral will be on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Tremonton Stake Center and interment in Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
