Christy Bingham

We would like to let you know that Christy's work here is done. She got an offer she simply could not refuse for an assignment from which she will not be returning.

She was a wonderful mother, great big sister, fun grandmother, loving daughter, and devoted friend. We will miss her charisma, her sense of humor and the way she always made Holidays so special.

Her new position will be nothing like her time as a security guard at Thiokol or being the Owner of All About Travel & Tours.

This offer comes with many incredible benefits. Reunions with old friends & family she has not seen in a long time, no health issues or ailments, no pain & all the mashed potatoes & gravy she can eat!

She will now be spending her time petting all the dogs, seeing all the places she hasn't made it to yet, watching over her loved ones, playing her guitar, hosting fun holiday parties & dancing to her favorite music till her hearts content. (Especially Tracy Chapman & Christmas music)

She will now get to spend Christmas with her father Dennis Riser, her Grandmas & Grandpas Hazel & Martin Riser & Phyllis & Darrel Shaw, her stepfather Roger Brown & her Granddaughter Farah Janel Richardson.

Her mother Janet Shaw Riser Brown of Brigham City Utah & Bouse Arizona, her sister DeNene Petersen of Cumming Georgia, her brothers Alan (Larraine) Riser of Corinne Utah, Mike Riser of Ogden Utah, Lane (Trish) Brown of Clinton Utah, daughters Misty (Cliff) Richardson of Ogden Utah, Hillary Hawthorne of Los Angeles California, her adventure partner Gordon Koen of Salt Lake City Utah, her six grandchildren Haydon, Savanna, Alexzander, Gateleigh, Carter & Quinn & many nieces & nephews will have to wait to join her.

Her time here began on March 30, 1958. She grew up in Tremonton Utah & graduated from Bear River High School class of 1976.  She attended Weber State University. She enjoyed 60 beautiful years living everywhere from Tremonton & Ogden Utah to Blanchard Idaho & Juneau Alaska.

She enjoyed 13 years of marriage with Michael Hawthorne & 17 years of marriage with Lafe Bingham. The last year of her journey here has been shared with her partner Gordon Koen.

Her new position started on December 13, 2018.  She was in the arms of her loving mother in Phoenix, Arizona as she was called on this new journey.  We know this is incredibly sad news for the many who will miss her.

We would like to invite all who loved her to celebrate her as she embarks on this new adventure.

The event will take place at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, Utah) on December 29, 2018. Her family will meet with loved ones from 9:30-10:30 am. The services will begin at 11:00. She will end her journey here at the East Garland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow.
