Cindy Celaya

November 2, 1955 — February 1, 2012

Cindy Weidman Celaya passed away February 1, 2012 in Garland UT. Cindy was born November 2, 1955 in Ogden, UT to Virgil and NaDean Archibald Weidman. She attended school in Bear River and graduated from Bear River High. She married Cris Celaya on October 24, 1987. Cindy was always ready for a new challenge. She started her first adventure at U&I Sugar Factory, where she met some life- long friends. From there she went to Palmer Pack, Thiokol and Autoliv. The next opportunity was helping the children succeed in Box Elder County School District. She was currently employed at West Liberty Foods. She loved planting flowers with her mom and daughter and she took great pleasure in watching them grow and bloom. She was the loudest cheerleader at her children’s games, and there was no doubt she was their biggest fan. She loved to be outdoors with her family where they shared many memories in the Mountains, camping, fishing and four wheeling. From the time she could walk she always had a ball in her hands. If it had to do with playing, coaching, directing softball, or cheering she was the lady you wanted on your team. Cindy was the happiest when surrounded by her family, whether it was holidays, weddings, shopping trips, or any excuse she could use to get her family and friends in one room. She was a member of the LDS Church, where she held many callings in Primary, Sunday School, Cub Scouts, and the Stake Sports. She took out her temple endowments September 14, 2002 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was sealed to her parents September 26, 2008 in the Logan LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband: Cris Celaya Garland UT, Children: Nick & Shawnee Celaya, Garland UT, Cristina (Justin) Forrester, Hyrum UT, and Ricardo Celaya, Smithfield UT. Siblings: Margo (Calvin) Roberts, Bluebell UT, Clark (Nancy) Weidman, Elwood UT, two grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends that she considered her own. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, father, and In-Laws. Funeral services will be held Monday February 6, 2012 at 11 AM. Viewings will be held on Sunday February 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM and Monday February 6, 2012 from 9 to 10:30 AM. All services will be held at the Garland 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 175 S. Main. Donataions may be made in Cindy's name at the Box Elder Credit Union.
