Clair E Andreasen, 90, passed away at his home on November 5, 2018 with his loving daughters by his side. He was born April 1, 1928 to Golden R. and Fern Petersen Andreasen in Elwood, Utah.
He married his sweetheart, Valene Watt, on August 21, 1950 in Brigham City. They had two daughters, Julie and Lori. Clair and Valene were married for 57 years before her passing.
He worked 49 years for the Box Elder County Road Department, building many of the roads in the county. He was intricate with his work and took great pride in what he did.
Clair spent much of his time throughout his life on the family farm. He enjoyed horses, classic country music, watching bull riding, and tinkering with things around the house. He was artistic and could create useful things out of anything. One of his favorite hobbies was detailing and personalizing his vehicles. He is known by his friends and family as a rough and tough cowboy, always looking sharp in his hat and boots. He looked forward to spending time with his friends at JC’s Diner where he enjoyed good conversation with his cup of coffee.
He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands: Julie (Greg-Moe) Rose and Lori (Shane) Petersen; 10 wonderful grandchildren: Jared, Justin, Ashley, Landon, Dillon, Colton, Mindi, Cami, Lindsey, and Dusty, and 18 great-grandchildren with two on the way; his four brothers: Reid (Donna), Roger (Karin), Alan (Carol), and Ronald (Jodi); and one sister, Linda (Leon) Rasmussen.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Valene, parents, two brothers: Gordon and Curtis, and three sisters: Rayola, Carolyn, and Janice.
