It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Belew, who left this world too soon on October 9, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on May 14, 1979, in Brigham City, Utah, to Phil and Ronda Belew, Clayton lived with an adventurous spirit, hard work, dedication, and a passion for the outdoors.
Clayton was a loving father, son, brother, coworker, and friend who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was always ready for the next adventure, which usually involved his best friend and brother, Brett. Growing up, you rarely find one without the other. Clayton loved dancing and singing to almost any genre (his love for Mariah Carey is unmatched), lounging in a pool, attending concerts, fixing vehicles, hunting, or simply enjoying time with family.
What he loved above all was spending time with his kids, creating memories filled with laughter, adventure, and music. Clayton was so very proud of each one of them and loved them with all his heart had.
Clayton was highly devoted to his work and his Nucor work family. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. He took great pride in his job and earned the respect of his coworkers for his determination and drive. He valued his time there and the coworkers who became like family. Clayton worked diligently to set an example of perseverance and dedication for his children, always aiming to teach them the value of hard work.
Clayton possessed a special gift for making everyone around him feel like they were his best friend. He had a natural ability to connect with people and could turn a stranger into a friend. His warmth, kindness, and easygoing nature endeared him to all who had the opportunity to know him.
Clayton leaves behind his greatest legacy: his four beloved children – Easton, Taygen, Carson, and Mayce. He was a devoted father, and his love for them will live on as his guiding star. He is also survived by his father, Phil Belew, and his siblings, Tami, Brett, and Cindy. His love for family was undeniable, and his memory will be carried in the hearts of all who knew him.
Clayton is preceded in death by his mother, Ronda, his nephew, Dustin, and his grandparents on both sides. While we grieve his loss, we find comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with those he loved so much.
In honoring Clayton, we invite everyone who loved him to join us in commemorating a man who fully embraced life, shared his love and laughter with all. His adventurous spirit and vibrant energy will forever remain in our hearts.
We will be celebrating Clayton's life on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Bear River City LDS Church. After the celebration, there will be a graveside service at the Bear River City Cemetery where we will lay him to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Rudd Funeral Home or through the GoFundMe account set up in Clayton's honor.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to his Nucor family, the Bear River City Community, and Rudd Funeral Home for their support during this challenging time.
