Cleon Anderson, 98, returned to his Heavenly Father and eternal companion Myrtle on December 23, 2012 at the Bear River Valley Care Center. He was born in Bothwell, Utah on May 8, 1914, to the strong pioneer stock of Rasmus (Daddy) and Mary Elvina Anderson. He was the thirteenth of sixteen siblings who all preceded him in death. He loved them dearly and diligently cared for each of them through the years. At an early age he took to the fields with his plow horses and began his lifelong career as a master farmer. He was an avid horseman and well regarded for his breaking and training horses.Cleon was a man of integrity, ingenuity, and possessed an immense work ethic. In 1939 he won the love of his sweetheart Myrtle with peanuts, charm and a dandy hat. On September 20, 1940 they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they created a livelihood for their family through chickens, turkeys, sugar beets and crop farming. They lived in Corinne, Utah, Bonners Ferry, Idaho before settling in his beautiful Bothwell. His love of the land there kept him farming well into his seventies. Cleon was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and held the office of High Priest in the Bothwell Ward. He served as President of the Young Men, secretary of the elders quorum. He was a faithful home teacher for many years and was always willing to serve others. Cleon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and the touchstone of our lives and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children; Michael (RaNae) Anderson; Bothwell, UT; Marla Pierce, Garland, UT; Dwight (Darlene) Anderson, Brigham City, UT; Nona (Doug) Hunsaker, Deweyville, UT; Mindy Anderson, Bothwell, UT.
