She was born in Tremonton, Utah, on November 21st, 1926 to Erma Barbara Frank and Ole Marion Miller. Colleen grew up in Elwood, Utah. She attended Elwood Elementary school where she met Mack Hansen in second grade. They became best friends and sweethearts. She married Mack Ray Hansen on May 30, 1945 in Elwood, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
She graduated from Bear River High School where she was a student officer and a state champion swimmer. Colleen grew up on a farm where she learned to drive a team of horses and loved to ride horses and help her dad round up cattle on their ranch in Montana. She loved being outdoors with her sister and cousins. She learned to fly and loved to take risks, doing unexpected things and going on adventures. She was an artist and loved to work in her flower gardens. She and Mack had many different businesses besides Mack’s Family Drive-In, that took them to places all over the world where they made new friends and had the time of their lives.
Colleen served in many positions throughout her life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved Scouting and the Family History Library. She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was looking forward to being with loved ones again.
