Colleen Udy Laws
Colleen Udy Laws passed away on May 29, 2014 in Tremonton Utah. She was born August 10, 1923 in Fielding Utah to Mark J. Udy and Ina B. Udy.
She lived in Ogden, East Garland, Fielding, Hansel Valley, Tremonton, Elwood, and Bothwell. She attended Fielding Elementary and Bear River High School. After Graduating she moved to Ogden and worked for the Naval Supply Depot where she met John Laws. They were married on July 19, 1944, and later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They had two daughters: Pauline Fay (Darrell, deceased), Maguire of Thatcher and Beverly (Lynn) Jenkins of Bothwell.
Colleen has been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many callings including Stake Primary Secretary, Ward Primary Greeter, Visiting Teacher and Visiting Teacher Supervisor.
Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family and the new family she had at Our House Assisted Living.
She is survived by her daughters Pauline & Beverly, grandchildren: James Maguire, Darlene Maguire, Beverly (Chad) Richins, Jennifer Olson, Tim (Roz) Jenkins and Micheal Jenkins, four great grandchildren: Trevor John Olson, Zoe Analiece Olson, Camille Maguire and Sophie Jade Maguire and one great-great grandson Mavryck John Olson. She is also survived by her brother Lex (Joanne) Udy and sister-in-laws Sandra Udy & Ann Udy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Darrell Maguire, grandson John Paul Maguire and Brothers: Mark J. (Renetta) Udy, Doyle (Madalyn) Udy, Thayne Udy and Ralph (Barbara) Udy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to “Our House” for all the loving and kind attention they gave to their Mother. Also to the Hospice company who did a very sweet and loving job keeping their Mother calm & comfortable.
Funeral services for Colleen will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.). The viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
