Colleen Richards

May 3, 1931 — January 29, 2013

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Colleen Gill Richards, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. She was born in Preston, Idaho on May 3, 1931 to Archie Gill and Adelaide Clayton Gill. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She liked to provide trousseaus for all her children, grandchildren and many other family members. She liked to crochet and shared her talent with others. She enjoyed playing games with her family and loved spending time with them. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Colleen provided endless amounts of compassionate service to others. She served in the Primary Presidency as an In-service Leader and many Relief Society callings. She also served for many years at the Bishop’s Store House. Colleen is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Elmer Lamont Richards; her children, Sheryl (Gorden) Lasley, Brent (Debbie) Richards, Gloria (Dale) Jensen; 13 grand children and 8 great grand children. The greatest love of her life was her husband and children, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie W. Gill and Adelaide Clayton Gill; sister, Sandra (Jay) Curtis; and grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua and Tyler Jensen. Thank you to Dr. Schow, Pam Hall, Community Nursing Services, Caregiver Support Network, Bear River Care Center and the Bear River Valley Senior Center for their wonderful meals.
