BEAR RIVER CITY- Collin “Bud” Lamar Hansen passed away on June 27, 2015 at the Bear River Valley Care Center. Bud was born on December 17, 1927 in Bear River City, Utah to Bernard & Lucinda Hansen. He married the love of his life Rita Ann Hammond on May 28, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was reared and educated in Bear River City and graduated from Box Elder High School. He then attended Utah State University. Throughout his life he was self-employed as a Rancher & Farmer. Being a Farmer & Rancher was his passion in life. He loved to develop and start new farm land. He spent most of his free time outdoors hunting, snowmobiling and he especially loved spending time with his family.
Bud served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Elder in the Bear River 1st Ward.
Bud is survived by his Son, Alan L. Hansen; Grandson, Alan “AJ” (Kasi) L. Hansen Jr. and his Great Granddaughter Peyton Evelyn Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his Wife Rita and Brother Courtley B. Hansen.
A graveside service for Bud will be held at the Bear River City Cemetery on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening, July 1, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the graveside service on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Both viewings will be held at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT).
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the love and care that was shown to Bud from the staff at the Bear River Valley Care Center.
