Cora Misrasi

February 21, 1938 — March 24, 2011

Cora May (Kupfer) Misrasi It all began on a farm in Tremonton, Utah, where Cathryn Clara Canfield and Alvin Leon Kupfer were expecting their second child. Vera now 5 years old welcomed her little sister Cora May Kupfer on February 21, 1938, and five years later a brother Melvin Leon. They all worked very hard on the farm helping out as they could. Feeding chickens, sheep, or milking cows, hoeing sugar beets, or helping bale hay they kept very busy. Cora could plow, cultivate, irrigate, you name it. She could drive a 10-wheeler dump truck and most other farm equipment including mastering the Backhoe. Graduating from Bear River High School in 1957, she later married Arthur Misrasi in the Logan Temple in June of 1957. Cora and Arthur divorced in 1970. On August 8, 1958 they welcomed their first daughter, Tina Anthina Marie. Soon after, they were joined by Clara Mae, who was born on November 10, 1959. Then on May 19, 1970, Tina and Clara were very excited to welcome their little sister, Mary Ann. Cora is very proud of her three daughters, and has a very fruitful family tree. Working was never an issue for Cora, she could do just about anything. She worked for Brigham Apparel, Thiokol, the IRS just to name a few. Quilting, crocheting, sewing, building fences, were only a few of Cora’s talents. She took great pride in doing each job to perfection, and continued to create to the very end. On March 24, 2011 at age 73, Cora left this life to reunite with her parents, and her older sister, Vera (Kupfer) Fulmer. She is survived by her brother Melvin (Marva) Kupfer, Tremonton, UT and three daughters: Tina Misrasi (Tom) Keyes, Redding, CA; Clara Misrasi Bourne, Garland, UT; and Mary Ann Misrasi Nobel, Mesa, AZ. Grandchildren: Tom Keyes, Jim (Julie) Keyes, Erica Bourne (Randy) Higley, Jessica Bourne (Lynn) Godfrey, Tyson (Crystal) Grover, Dusty Grover, Klay (Julie) Grover, Travis (Emily) Bourne, Rusty Misrasi, Beau Misrasi, and Bailey (Krystal) Nobel. Her great grandchildren; Dalles Keyes, Ike Godfrey, Rawlin Godfrey, Tex Godfrey, Cai Grover, Arwen Higley, Silas Grover, Afton Godfrey, Brielle Higley, Alora Godfrey, Gwendolyn Bourne, and Elizabeth Nobel, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends. In accordance with Cora’s wishes, she will be laid to rest in the family Cemetery on the Salt Creek. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the funeral at 11:30 a.m. on April 2, 2011 at Tremonton, Third Ward Church, 9590 North 6800 West, Tremonton. Cora loved to share with those around her. It wouldn’t be a surprise to hear her say, “Do you like my roses?” as she proudly showed you her cane with rose stickers all over it. You could always count on her to offer you an enthusiastic “Have a nice day!” The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park Care Center and Inspiration Hospice for the love and care they gave Cora. She will be missed by many.
