Coral Lee Chase Prickett peacefully returned to her loving Heavenly Father on August 8, 2023. She was born in Richfield, Utah to Kenneth and Shirley Button Chase on August 29, 1950. She was the third of four children. Max Powell came into her life when she was four years old and he instantly became her dad. She was raised on the Navajo Indian Reservation and moved around between Utah and Arizona in her youth. She made many great friends during her childhood, making memories that lasted her lifetime. No matter where she went she would always run into someone she knew from her childhood.
Coral Lee graduated from Holbrook High School in 1969 and attended Rick’s College before marrying Gary Burnham. Together they had five children and were later divorced. She married the love of her life David Eugune Prickett on November 23, 2001. They were later sealed in the Ogden, UT Temple. David brought three more children to make their family whole.
Coral Lee had many hobbies during her life; when she started something she was fully committed. She loved family history and finding graves of her extended family. She had a passion for scrapbooking and card making. When she was younger, she loved to make cakes and decorate them. She loved keeping in contact with everyone she knew and was a master quilter. Her favorite hobby was being a grandma. She loved her grandchildren and wanted to spend as much time with them as she could, so she moved closer to the majority of them. She loved to travel and see new things, making many trips to England.
Coral Lee lived almost everywhere in the west: Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado and Idaho before returning back to Utah just two short years ago.
Coral Lee worked at ATK/Thiokol for many years first in the Greyhound food service and then in the print lab. She made many lifelong friends there and was always trying to make things better for the company.
Coral Lee was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, but her favorites included Relief Society as an instructor and in the presidency and in the Family History Center. She would spend hours on her lessons and making the perfect handouts.
She successfully fulfilled her calling as a mother by showing unconditional love in her special way. She would give her children the shirt off her back to make them happy and watch them succeed. She was always so proud of her children and what they accomplished in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents Max and Shirley Powell, her beloved daughter Whitney Star Burnham Short and best friend Sheryl Bair.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Prickett; Andrew Short, Jason (Kristin) Burnham, Jared (Jamie) Burnham, Courtney (Kevin) Miller, Rhiannon (Bart) Atkin, Heather (Bryan) Millburn, Chelsie Prickett - Nunez, Grant (Dawn) Prickett; 25 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. brother’s Ray (Sharon) Chase, Nial (Darla) Chase, and sisters Marie (Larry) Behling and Toni Lua.
