Craig Garn

FIELDING, Craig Clive Garn, 58, passed on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to complications from an accident on his farm.  He was born to O. Clive & Aloha Taylor Garn on March 11, 1959.  He attended and graduated from Bear River High School, where he met the love of his life, Lynda Johnson, whom he married on June 15, 1979.

Craig cherished his time with his family and his banter, quick wit, and big heart will be missed dearly.  Craig spent his life doing what he loved.  From the long days farming in the fields, hunting with his boys, snowmobiling with the grandkids, to morning social hours with the Riverside Corner Crew, he will always be remembered as one of a kind.  He served as President of the Box Elder County Weed Board for 25 years, and also the Chairman of the Fielding Cemetery Board for 30 years.  He was a member of the Fielding Fire Department.  He was a member of the LDS Church and has held several callings over his years with the Hampton Ford Ward.

Craig is survived by his wife, Lynda Johnson Garn of Fielding; children, Eryn (Monte) Lee of Clemson, SC, Brian (Leslee) Garn of Tremonton, Michelle (Matthew) Hawkes of Garland, Sean (Markell Soto) Garn of Tremonton, Wade (Torey Peters) Garn of Fielding; 18 grandchildren; his father, O. Clive Garn, and sisters, Kathy (Allen) Willis, Tina (Steven) Brueckner, and Lisa (Brady) Chournos.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Aloha Louise Taylor Garn.

There will be a viewing for all friends and family on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 6-8 pm at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 W. 15600 N. Fielding, UT).  Funeral services for Craig will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11 am at the Fielding Stake Center with a viewing from 9-10:30 am prior to the funeral.  Burial services will follow at the Fielding Cemetery.

In leu of flowers, there has been an account set up by friends of the family at Bank of Utah to help with the surmounting medical expenses from his care.
