Dana Staley
April 25, 1948 — March 21, 2013
Dana Lee Staley passed after a long illness on 21 Mar 2013 at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dana was born on 25 April 1948 to Joseph and Dorothy Staley in Waterloo, IA.
He was the oldest of 5 children.
He served his country in the US Air Force from 1969-1973 in VietNam. He then served in the US Army National Guard.
He married the love of his life, Margaret on 24 June 1986 in Logan, Utah.
Dana was later employed at Logan Regional Hospital and earned recognition as Employee of the Year for providing outstanding care in the Operating Room.
He is a member of the Tremonton Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
His hobbies were: painting, woodworking, ceramics, making model airplanes and cars, and stamp collecting. He also enjoyed travelling through the United States.
Papa loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with his entire heart and soul.
A true patriot until the day he died, Dana often visited with active and retired military personnel and would visit the VietNam Wall in Washington DC to pay homage to his fallen comrades.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children Audra Anneberg (Ed), Gretchen Campbell (Willis), Marianne Domery, John Domery (Leslie) and Thomas Domery. He is also survived by his brothers Duane Staley and Darwin Staley (Vickey) and his sisters Roxanne Guerrette, and Rainey Carrabalo. 14 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents and grandson Matthew.
Memorial Services will be on Tuesday March 26, 2013, 12:00(Noon) At Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East Tremonton, Utah. Burial will immediately follow in the Mendon City Cemetery.
