Darlene Nelson

Darlene Baty Nelson, 71 passed away peacefully September 5, 2013, in Layton, UT. She was born January 4, 1942 in Brigham City, UT to Seth Vern Baty and Lois Eldridge Baty.

She married Clyde L Nelson on December 16, 1960 in Malad, ID. He passed away on June 11, 2004. Darlene worked for US West Communications for 27 yrs. retiring in January of 1995. After retiring, she took a part-time job with Wal-Mart. She loved the people she worked with there and made many friends along the way.

She is survived by her four children, Debi (Melvin) Willett, Julie (Michael) Trimble, Larry Nelson, and Michelle Fitzgerald; Siblings, Bob (Linda, deceased) Short, Gary (Nedra) Short, Ron (Shelly)Baty, and Carol Jenkins. She is also survived by six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, parents, one daughter – Christine, and one grandson – Zachary Trimble, preceded her in death.

The family would like to give a special thanks to moms’ sister Carol, for being her movie and lunch buddy, and always being there for her.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Bear River City Cemetery (5550 N. 4600 W., Bear River City, UT 84301)
