Thatcher-Penrose- Darrell Thomas Larkin, 66, passed away on November 8, 2018 at the Bear River Valley Hospital. Darrell was born on June 12, 1952 in Brigham City, Utah to Barbara Perry & Thomas Fuller Larkin.
Darrell was raised in Snowville, Utah. He attended and graduated from Bear River High School.
On May 5, 1972, Darrell married his high school sweetheart, Idalyn Thornley in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home on a beautiful farm in Thatcher- Penrose, Utah. Darrell worked in the transportation department at ATK for 32 years, but his real occupation was farming. He was a farmer his whole life working up until the day he died.
His greatest love was spending time with his wife and best friend along with his children and grandchildren.
Darrell is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in two different bishoprics and in the Brigham City LDS Temple. He was the High Priest Group Leader for three years.
He is survived by his wife Idalyn; two children: Brenda (James) Hawker and Jason (Amy) Larkin; six grandchildren: Clayton, Colton, Lindsey, Kelsey, Jasey Mae, and Ike; and his seven siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Darrell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in the Thatcher-Penrose 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (11475 W. 10400 N.). Viewings will be held on Monday evening, November 12, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.- Tremonton) and prior to the funeral service at the church from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment in the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
