David Floyd Burnett, 93 passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012. He was born July 11, 1919 in Plymouth Utah, the son of David Thompson and Agnes Stuart Burnett. He married Gwendolyn Wheatley on March 21, 1946 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Floyd worked for Wynn Hansen on his sheep ranch for several years, in 1961 they moved to Salinas California where he worked for Salinas Vault and Memorial. They then moved to Garland Utah in 1965 where he worked for Thiokol and retired in 1984. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn, and four daughters. Tanya (Wayne) Webb, Daneal Burnett, Susan Burnett, Christine (Roger) Ruff; 3 grandchildren, and 4 and a half great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Son, David Burnett Jr. Brothers: Stuart, Marvin, Ernest, and Clarence Burnett and Sisters: Kannetta Nish and Ruby Wood. The Family would like to thank Integrity Hospice, Logan Nursing & Rehab, and the Garland 5th Ward for all of their kind service. A viewing will be held in his honor Sunday October 28, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home at 111 N. 100 E. Tremonton Utah. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 29, 2012 at the Garland 5th Ward Chapel at 175 S. Main Garland Utah, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial services will follow at the Honeyville Cemetery, Honeyville Utah. Military Honors will be conducted at grave site services.
