David Goss

David Brent Goss passed away Thursday October 11, 2012 from ALS, at his home in Roy with his wife by his side. He was born May 19, 1954 in Ogden to Cyril and Della Goss. He was the 5th of nine children. He worked at Nucor Steel from 1981-2010. He was raised in Clearfield until 1968 when his family moved to Tremonton. He resided in Garland for 30 years until he was diagnosed with ALS and moved to Roy to be closer to his children. He met his wife Dena in 1978 and they were married in December of 1978. They were always by each other side. There love grew stronger with each passing day. Together they raised five children and enjoyed taking them camping, four wheeling, hunting, fishing and the past few years going to Nascar races. He is the grandfather of 5 little girls, Jessica, Hannah, Sara, Kylie and Heather. He enjoyed every moment spent with them. He has left behind his wife Dena of 34 years and their children, JeNeal & Keith Olsen of Sandy, Jeffery Goss of Colorado Springs, CO, Bryan & Tawnya Archibald of Hooper, Jerry & Jodie Goss of Colorado Springs, CO and Lyle Goss of Brigham City. His siblings, Tim & Bev Goss of Salt Lake City, Ray & Karen Goss of Kearns, Della & Mike Turner of Blackfoot, ID, Ron & Ann Goss of Garland, Patty & Jim Rassmussen of Brigham City, Cathy & Mike Stausbaugh of North Ogden, Cheryl & Morrie Larsen of Tremonton, Robert & Holly Goss of Tremonton and his mother Della Goss of Tremonton. He was preceded in death by his father Cyril Goss and grandson Justin Archibald. The family would like to thank Hospice for their love and care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 16, 2012 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held Monday October 15, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. as well as Tuesday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. All services will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E Tremonton, UT).
