David LaMar Phillips, 74, of Garland, Utah, passed away on January 7, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1950, in Payson, Utah, to Victor LaMar Phillips and Iris Patterson Phillips.
David was a proud graduate of Springville High School and furthered his education at Utah State University. Throughout his working career, he dedicated himself to Morton Thiokol, where he made lasting contributions.
A man of many passions, David enjoyed cars and motorcycles and cherished his time spent hunting and fishing. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
David is survived by his loving family, including Vicky Black Oberg (Gary Oberg), Debra Ann Phillips Daley (Thomas Daley), Jon Cherrigton (Sandra Cherrigton), and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Iris Phillips; his brother, Larry K. Phillips; and his sister, Sandra Jean Phillips Cherrigton.
A graveside service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1 P.M. at the Salem City Cemetery. David's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
