DeLon Gardner

DeLon H. Gardner, (Dunk), 76, of Deweyville, UT passed away Friday Dec. 14 2012 at his home. He was the son of Floyd and Bertha Gardner, born on April 8, 1936. He married Mary Magdalene Starnes on Mar. 1 1957 in Georgia, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had 4 Children, Mary Michele, Lisa, Lori, and Les. DeLon lived in Georgia, California, Idaho and Deweyville, UT. He was a member of the Skyline Booster club, coached soccer and was the President of the AYSO of Los Angeles. DeLon was a member of the LDS Church where he taught gospel doctrine and had many other church callings. He enjoyed genealogy, cooking, and gardening. He served in the Army. DeLon was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Lisa; his parents; and a brother, Cecil Brent Gardner. He is survived by 3 children, Mary Michele Adams, Dana Point, CA; Lori Gardner, Deweyville, UT; and Les (Charlotte) Gardner, Hyrum, UT; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; as well as a brother Ralph (Rilla) Gardner, and a sister Cheryl (John) Roberts. Funeral Services will be Friday Dec. 21, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Deweyville LDS Chapel (10750 N. Hwy 38 – Deweyville, UT) with a viewing prior to services from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
