DeVon Sessions, 72, passed away suddenly on Thursday August 8, 2013 at his home of a heart attack. He was born August 10, 1940 in Tremonton, Utah, to Elzo Weston and Doris Annie Evans Sessions. He was the youngest of three children. He attended elementary school in Garland and graduated from Bear River High School where he was a member of the swim team and the football team. DeVon then graduated from Hollywood Beauty College in Ogden, Utah, and opened RaeVon Beauty Salon where he worked for the next 17 years.

He married his sweetheart Connie Rae Giles on November 4, 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had two sons, Shawn and Scott. DeVon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his most prized possession. He loved bragging about his grandkids and their activities.

After closing the beauty salon, DeVon was employed at Smithfield Implement for 17 years, and later worked Utah State University for 17 years. DeVon was a hard worker and instilled a great work ethic in his sons and grandchildren.

DeVon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many hobbies. He was a member of the Box Elder County Posse, enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, shooting, trapping, metal detecting, Native American history and crafts, and was a master story teller. It has been said that he never let the truth get in the way of a good story!
