DeWayne Julander (80) passed away on April 14, 2019, in his home in Bear River City. He was born on June 10, 1938 in Heber, Utah to Von and Ferl Julander. He married Joyce Burgener in the Salt Lake Temple and they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage. They raised five children together. He was raised in Monroe and Heber Utah, and later lived most of his life in Bear River City.
Dewayne was a life-long active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel and loved to minister to anyone who was in need. He served a full-time mission with his wife in Omaha Nebraska. He served in multiple church callings and thoroughly enjoyed serving in the temple.
DeWayne loved his family above all other activities. The outdoors was also important to him, especially the time spent on Monroe Mountain both as a child and throughout the rest of his life. He enjoyed working with horses and took pride in training his Arabians. He was at home in the saddle and loved to clear trails on the mountain. DeWayne spear headed an addition to the original family cabin that could be used and enjoyed by everyone. He beamed with joy when he would talk about or had a chance to share it with others.
He is survived by his wife Joyce; children, Brenda Marble, Steve (Misty) Julander, Cyndee (Shane) Reed, Layne (Michelle) Julander, and Darin (Heather) Julander; siblings Jerry, Marilyn, Karen, Delvon, and Kendall, with 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 more on the way.
DeWayne is preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Jared DeWayne Marble.
