Don Hill

November 17, 1926 — August 3, 2015

Tremonton – Don Hill passed away peacefully on August 03, 2015. Don was born on November 17, 1926 in Garland, Utah to Vern and Christina Hill. He was raised in Garland and graduated from Bear River High. He married Pamela Toland May 19, 1950 in Garland, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. Together they had 3 daughters; Rona, Crissy and Dianne and 3 sons; Don Jr., Dorian and Dustin. Don was one of 16 brothers and sisters.

He served his country, state and community. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, as well as in the Utah National Guard during the Korean conflict. He retired as a Sargent Major (E9). Don was also a member of the Garland Fire Department for several years.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Pam and his son Dustin as well as 10 of his siblings.

Friends may visit with the family Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT). Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel located at 1150 South Tremont Street in Tremonton. Prior to the service, friends may visit with the family at the Chapel from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Lotus Park Assisted Care Living Center for their care and kindness. The compassion and concern they showed to dad is appreciated more that we can express.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Symbii Hospice staff with a special thank you to Tiffany Buttars.

We would also like to thank Jim Able and his staff at JC’s Diner, as well as Dad’s coffee buddies for their friendship and kindness.
