Dot Bjorn

Dot Kay Bjorn, 86, passed away November 13, 2017 at her home in Tremonton, Utah due to a heart condition. She was born March 4, 1931 in Tremonton to James Earl (Sam) Kay and Thora Giles.

She married Duane (Sonny) Bjorn on June 11, 1960 and they made their home in Tremonton. Dot grew up on the family farm in East Tremonton where she developed her strong work ethic. She graduated from Bear River High School and attended Weber State. Dot worked at the bank and other various part time jobs but her real devotion was to her family; children (4), grandchildren (14), and great grandchildren (2). She enjoyed serving others and spent the last 20 years as a volunteer at the hospital. She had concern for her friends and neighbors and was loved by all.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings. She enjoyed ballgames, concerts, recitals, and many other activities, especially if her grandchildren were involved.

Surviving are her children: Mindy (Earl) Stuart Tremonton, Polly (Gary) Miller Tremonton, Rick (Kristin) Bjorn Orem, Chad (Jenn) Bjorn Tremonton, one sister Carrol Christensen, one brother Ron Kay, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Seth and Lynn Kay, one great grandchild Jexon Miller.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 251 South Tremont Street. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home 111 North First East and Monday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
