Douglas Morgan Miller, age 31, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Doug was born on September 10, 1983 in Ypsilanti, Michigan where he lived for 19 years. Doug and his parents then moved to Tremonton, Utah where he was involved in Special Olympic sports including track &field, bocci, swimming, and bowling. Doug was a member of the Tremonton 2nd Ward where the youth accepted him as part of their group, and where he made many close friends. Doug attended school at Lincoln Consolidated High School in Willis Michigan. When he arrived in Utah, Doug attended the Lincoln Center in Brigham City. He was involved in a program at Cache Employment Training Center in Logan at the time of his passing. Doug enjoyed time with family and friends, visiting temples, swimming, cruises, fishing, video games and going to the movies with his parents and his friend Cody. Doug never met anybody that he didn’t know, everybody was his friend. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his parents, Joe and Pat Miller of Tremonton, his older “Brudda” Joe (Sheryl) Miller, of Lacy, Washington, “ninner” Pat (Shawn) Kerby, Tremonton, Utah, and “My Derek” (Michelle) Miller of Bonnie Lake, Washington. Seventeen nieces and nephews, and five grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Doug will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton 2nd/5th Ward LDS Chapel (251 S. Tremont St.) There will be a viewing held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and on Tuesday September 16, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.)
