Douglas Albert Pearson, 77, of Garland, Utah, peacefully departed this life on November 5, 2024. Born on January 30, 1947, in Waukegan, Illinois, Doug was the cherished son of Albert and Caroline Pearson. He spent his early years in Illinois.

On August 30, 1969, Doug found his soulmate Carol Villalba. Their love flourished, creating a beautiful life together filled with adventure and laughter. Doug's educational journey took him to Marmion Military Academy, culminating in a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University.

Doug proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for two years, a service that reflected his commitment to duty and honor. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career at Thiokol, where he dedicated 30 years as a Procedure Analyst. In 2009, Doug enjoyed a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Doug was passionate about history and community engagement. He was an active member of the Civil War Club and relished participating in the Mountain Man Rendezvous.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and grandson Dylan, whose absence is felt deeply.

A private family service will be held at the Garland Cemetery to honor Doug's memory and celebrate the love that binds them. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Atlas Hospice, particularly Savana, Brooke, and Hannah, for their compassionate care during Doug's final days.

As we remember Doug, we celebrate a life rich with love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. He will be profoundly missed yet fondly remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
