Edith Berry

June 17, 1931 — July 22, 2016

Edith LaRue Mower Berry, 85, passed away on July 22, 2016 at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on June 17, 1931 in Fairview, Utah to Lavor Kimball and Elmina Christensen Mower. She married Lincoln Bartley Berry on November 14, 1948 in Sunnyside, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple.

Edith grew up in Sunnyside, Utah. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1949. Edith received her LPN License in September of 1963. She worked many years as a LPN at the Bear River Valley Hospital, Logan Regional Hospital and the Bear River Valley Care Center.

Edith was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in her ward. One of her favorite callings was working in the Family History Center. She had a great love for genealogy.

She was also a master gardener. She loved working in her vegetable and flower garden, she had many beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting and made many beautiful afghans and quilts.

Edith had a great love for her brothers, sisters, her children and grandchildren and was very proud of all of them.

Edith is survived by her children: Marvin (Malena) Berry, Paula (Allen) Johnstun, Revis Berry, Darrell (Teresa) Berry, Laurell Williams, Brent (Kristine) Berry, Cort (Tammy) Berry, Coreen Berry, Tyler Berry; brothers: Melvin Kimball Mower and Hyrum Danny Mower; sisters: Geneil (Gayle) Taylor and Goldie Nelson; 27 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lincoln Bartley Berry; brother, Lavor Paul; son-in-law’s, Lynn Anderson and Blake Williams; grandsons, KC Berry and Shane Bart Berry and great granddaughter, Patty Colleen Carter.

Funeral services for Edith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Tremonton 2nd & 5th Wards LDS Chapel (300 S. Tremont St.). Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening, July 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT) and prior to the service at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, Utah for the love and care they gave Mom in her final years.
