Tremonton-Elizabeth Wortley Evans, 87 passed away peacefully on October 23, 2008 in Tremonton, Utah surrounded by family and friends. Elizabeth was born on a Sunday in a little house in Garland, Utah on February 27, 1921 to Lawrence Wortley and Deborah May King. In 1940 Elizabeth married Floyd H. Evans, whom later died in 1977. Then in later years married Keith Fullmer. Knowing her true love, she later changed her name back to Elizabeth Evans. As a member of the LDS church, she served as a Primary Teacher, and played the Organ in church for forty-five years. After the death of her first husband, she served a proselyting mission, in Independence, Missouri. She enjoyed doing genealogy and making many quilts for the humanitarian. Hearing the train pass by her home, just as it did when she was a little girl, and the Christmas season were also things that she enjoyed. She is preceded in death by her parents, a baby brother, grandparents, two husbands and two sisters, Alice May Buxton and Ruth Schneiter. She is survived by one sister Agnes Aamodt, and her children: Harvey (Leslie) Evans, Serene (Cecil) Stephens, Jenelle (Steve) Thatcher, and Debbie (Dennis) Dietz, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Tuesday October 28, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Rudd Funeral Home, followed by the Interment at 11:30 A.M. in the Garland Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Tremonton South Stake Center after the Interment. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
