Ellen Udy

Louise Steed Udy, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and dear friend to many, passed away on May 9, 2014 at the Bear River Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was the 11th child born in Plymouth, Utah to Ida Stokes & George Gerald Steed. She was delivered by her great grandmother Janet Steed who was a midwife. She was born on November 9, 1930.
She was raised on the hill in Plymouth at the base of Plymouth Peak, where many hours were spent roaming the mountain that she loved. She attended Plymouth School and Bear River High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings but her favorite was working in the library.
She married her sweetheart and her really hot cowboy Ray V. Udy on July 28, 1946. They made their home in Riverside where they raised their 5 children. She was an avid gardener & quilter. She also enjoyed all types of hand work.
Louise is survived by her husband, five children Donna Ward of Riverside, Reva (Bob) Jensen of Harper Ward, Sharyle Shaffer of Hyde Park, Ida (Ted) Anderson of Riverton and Alan (Dixie) Udy of Riverside, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lorna Thompson & Sister-in-law Rose Steed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers & sisters and Son-in-law Denny Ward.
Funeral services for Louise will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Belmont 2nd LDS Church (16925 N 5200 W, Riverside, UT). There will be a private extended family viewing from 10- 11:00 a.m. there will also be a public visitation from 11:00- 12:45 p.m. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Bear River Valley Hospital, Hospice and the fielding ambulance crew for their tender loving care.
