Elmer (Mo) Steinlicht passed away on March 12, 2025. He was born in Hamilton, California on August 2, 1947, his family moving to Pocatello, Idaho within his first year of life. A short time later, the family moved to Ogden, Utah. This is where he met his love, Pamela Steinlicht. Mo and Pam were married September 19, 1969, in Blackfoot, Idaho. They lived in Oregon for a year or so, returning to reside in Utah. Mo and Pam and their three children, Chelice, Oscar, and August lived in many places in Utah, finally residing in Belmont Springs.
Mo attended Ben Lomond, going on to serve in the Army, July of 1966 as a dental assistant. He went on to attend Weber State University, earning his associates degree.
Mo worked many jobs throughout his life, serving as a dental assistant in the Army, a heavy machine operator at Parson’s, a lab tech and a crane operator at Nucor Steel, retiring after 25 years of service. In 2008, he opened Mo’s Cyclery with his son, August because they enjoyed riding their Harley’s.
Mo enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He loved shooting his guns, especially his “Boomstick” double barrel black powder shotgun. Mo loved getting out on the road to take his Harley for a ride, especially road trips on the bike with his sons, Oscar and August. Most of all, he loved spending time with Pam going on many fun adventures during their life together. Mo was an incredible husband and father and was a genuine family man, who loved his family deeply with his warm loving energy. Mo’s fun stories, witty comments and mellow vibe will be missed immensely. We will miss our Big Papa Mo.
Mo is a Vietnam War veteran and we are forever grateful for his service.
Mo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pamela Steinlicht and his sons Oscar and August Steinlicht. Mo was a very proud grandpa to his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He loved them all tremendously.
Mo is preceded in death by his daughter Chelice Steinlicht, his parents, Elmer Steinlicht and Cora Garner and his siblings.
