September 7, 1995 - August 23, 2013
Our sweet "Pinky" has gone home to our Heavenly Father, our mom "Jan-a-banana" and big sister Jessica on August 23, 2013 after a courageous battle with Pneumonia. Emily, you came into our lives with a style and grace all your own. It was known that you were perfect from the first moment mom and dad cuddled you in their arms. Only God knew the gift he was sending into our lives. Thank you for spending your life showing the world what being brilliant really is.
Emily loved life more than most and appreciated the small things in big ways. Growing up in rural Thatcher, Utah Emily fell in love with a simple life, from riding the "wheeler" to jumping on the trampoline with her brothers. She loved her french fries and "brain freeze", playing the Wii and rockin' out to Hannah Montana. Nothing made her more pleased than a good joke. From an early age she knew how to give you a scare with her ninja like hiding skills. She loved giving her mom a hard time by pretending to get into things she wasn't supposed to. Emily was persistent, strong willed and had the most loving heart. One cannot truly put into words the eternal affect she had on those closest to her. She was a constant example of the things that matter most in life...a good laugh and an occasional bear hug leading to a choke hold. We look forward to the day when we can hear her sweet laughter and kiss her lovely cheeks once again. As we grieve her loss we know she is close to us whispering, "Right here, duh!"
Emily was preceded in death by her mom Jan Harris Boss, sister Jessica J. Boss, grand parents Reed and Edna Harris, and Grandpa Boss. She was surrounded by family at the time of her peaceful passing. She leaves behind her best friend and devoted dad Jonathan "Jon" Boss, Grandma Hazel and siblings Zeke, Zeb, Andrew, Bellinda (Oscar) Ochoa, Adam, James, Jon (Aimee), Brandi (Eric) Wolcott, Amber (Steve) Jones, many nieces and nephews that grew up with Aunt Emily, a large extended family and many friends.
The family wishes to express sincerest gratitude to the PICU doctors and nurses at Primary Children's Medical Center, who did everything possible and extended compassionate care to her during her stay.
A viewing will be held Wednesday August 28, 2013, 10:30-11:30 am at Rogers and Taylor 111 North 100 East Tremonton, Utah. Graveside services will follow at Bothwell cemetery at noon. We invite you to wear Emily's favorite color pink. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family or through Rudd Funeral Home.
Emily as a family we send out one last collective "HOLLA".
